1. Terms of use

Use of https://www.justtravellingthrough.com or “Just Travelling Through

This policy is valid from 16th January 2020

I reserve the right to change any of the following Terms and Conditions at any given time on this website, so please check often for any changes. Given my short attention span who knows when that might be.

The reading of all information on Just Travelling Through is of your own free will. All information taken from this site is done so at your own risk. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you should cease use of this website immediately. Of course then you’d be missing out on some funny stories, travel mishaps, incredible photos and information about some of the most amazing places on the planet. So, your call really.

Despite the hard work that has gone into researching the information provided on this website, I make no representations or warranties of any kind (expressed or implied) about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability of any information, products, services or related graphics contained on Just Travelling Through for any purpose.

Particularly in relation to current prices, addresses, opening hours, phone numbers, travel information and website addresses, so I would advise you to double check. It’s probably not a good idea to travel halfway round the world to visit a monument that has been turned into a car park with a dodgy looking hot dog stall.

I aim to provide you with accurate information at the time of publishing, but some information will understandably be less accurate as time passes.

Should you find any inaccurate information, please do not hesitate to contact me. This allows me to ensure the information is up to date for your fellow travellers (when I’m not easily distracted by something else) and you’ll have made a new friend. Like having a pen pal. Although the guy running the hotdog stall may end up with less visitors so I hope your prepared for that possibility.

2. Copyright policy

Unless otherwise noted, I (Stuart Fahy from Just Travelling Through) am the legal copyright holder of all (written, multimedia and graphic) material on this website (unless otherwise stated) and it may not be used, reprinted, modified or published (either partially or fully) without my written consent.

A link to Just Travelling Through must appear in all copies of any content, including articles, press releases and guest posts. A large banner on my birthday would also be welcome.

Guest bloggers and other contributors to Just Travelling Through are responsible for their own submitted material on my website and have to ensure that their work complies with national and relevant foreign, thermodynamics-, attraction-, robotics- and gravitational laws.

The opinions expressed by any Third Parties are their own and do not represent the position or beliefs of Just Travelling Through.

I am also not responsible (but very sorry) for any narrow minded, impolite or offensive comments by others on my blog.

3. Hold harmless

All the information provided on Just Travelling Through is for general information and entertainment purposes only and is the expressed opinion of myself, Stuart Fahy (‘Just Travelling Through‘) and not others.  This includes (but is not limited to) my membership organisations and/or employers.

I am not providing any medical, legal, professional, astrological, paleontological, philosophical, ecological, biological, criminological, zoological or dermatological advice.

You are taking, reading, using or absorbing all the provided information at your own risk. Please contact your local hospital, emergency service, bar association, phone book, Google, Bing, Ask Jeeves, your mother or that one friend you always go to (even if you know it sometimes ends up worse than when you started) to find or obtain a referral to a competent professional.

Under no circumstances will I be liable for any loss or damage (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss or damage) or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of or in connection with the use of this website.

I cannot be held responsible for any offence taken due to translation, interpretation or mistakes in grammar and/or punctuation of my website’s content.

Although I try to keep Just Travelling Through running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, access to the site may be temporarily or permanently suspended and without notice at my own discretion, due to possible updates or technical issues beyond my control. The internet can be a cruel and confusing mistress at times.

I will not be liable if for any reason the website is unavailable at any time or for any period of time. I will try to get the website back online as soon as possible.

4. Privacy statement

Any personal and/or contact information provided to me will be kept private. You will not be spammed in any way.

I will not send you Valentines, birthday and/or Christmas Cards (unless you ask me to and I really like you) and I will not sell or disclose any of your information to any other companies.

I am not responsible for the privacy practices of any of my advertisers or people that comment on this website.

5. Reserve rights

I, Stuart Fahy from Just Travelling Through, reserve the right to change the focus of the blog (like focusing more on goat herding, LARPing, useless inventions or pandering to WWF paraphernalia collectors, which could well happen in the future), to shut it down, sell it, change the terms of use (go to a paid platform) at my own discretion.

I also reserve the rights to edit or delete any comments submitted to Just Travelling Through without notice due to: comments deemed to be spam or questionable spam, comments including profanity, comments containing language or concepts that could be deemed offensive, comments that attack a group or person individually, or comments from my parents telling me to come home. (Hi, mum! Thanks for reading.)

I do accept virtual hugs and encouraging pats on the back. Or occasionally unwanted animals (dependent upon housing and dietary requirements. Mine, not the animal’s). Imagine having your own penguin pal!

6. Advertisers and sponsors

I am not responsible for the actions of my advertisers or sponsors. If you purchase a product or service based upon a link from my website, you must take action with that company to resolve any issues, not Just Travelling Through.

Any product, claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question. Even if I like trousers based on the number of zip-pockets they have doesn’t mean you will too. Although if you do that’s cool. Maybe we could start a club.

To help the website expand, to cover costs of running the site and for me to be able to avoid becoming an actual adult with a proper job, some advertising and affiliate links are run on my website.

Affiliate links earn me a (very!) small commission on any purchases made when visiting the advertiser’s website after clicking on one of these links.

I will do my absolute best to only provide you with information about (travel) products that I truly believe in. I will never take your trust for granted.

All reviews on my website will be presented honestly and I will disclose whether I will be receiving any commissions or products for free.

7. Letters to the editor

Any letters, e-mails, blog comments, responses on Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter, or questions written directly to me may be used to share with my blogging audience unless specifically requested otherwise. (Part of) these letters or emails, questions or any other feedback may also be used in newsletters, blog posts, columns or up-and-coming books.

Your name may also be added to some kind of ‘Commenter Hall of Fame’ for being such an awesome person.
