Things to do in Cordoba, Spain

Cordoba is a city I’ve been wanting to see for a long time. I passed through Andalusia on my first visit to Spain but, while I saw the main cities of Malaga, Sevilla and Granada, I never made it to Cordoba. Recently I had an opportunity to rectify this on a return to southern Spain and ensured a visit to the city was a top priority.

How to see Perito Moreno Glacier

One of the most popular destinations in Patagonia is the Perito Moreno Glacier. Located in the south-west of the region, it’s one of the most popular attractions in Patagonia, and for good reason. Perito Moreno Glacier is both impressive and stunning to look at, either from a distance or up close. It’s over 5km at its widest point and an incredible 30km in length. The glacier is actually growing too. Unlike the majority of glaciers around the world, Perito Moreno is still advancing. (more…)

I was recommended to visit San Pedro de Atacama by a Chilean friend from home. Situated in the north of Chile close to the Bolivian border, the small town is surrounded by the vast expanses of the Atacama Desert and some incredible scenery. (more…)

The Wondrous Victoria Falls

One of the things I really wanted to see on my recent trip to Africa was Victoria Falls. Now you might think that would be fairly easy to accomplish. Just organise your itinerary around a visit to the waterfalls. However, on so many trips I’ve never actually reached several of the places I wanted to visit. A guide to Windhoek

I spent more time in the Namibian capital than I’d have preferred or recommend but that at least allows me to give a decent guide to the place. I landed in Windhoek airport, which is a whole 45km from the actual city, pretty late so didn’t get first look around until the following day.
